WWE Superstar Trick Williams predicted significant future financial opportunities for his children, referencing the potential of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) deals, while discussing his relationship with fellow WWE star Lash Legend on ESPN’s First Take.
Williams, who is engaged to Legend, described her as a “true powerhouse,” citing her athletic background which includes being a March Madness MVP at Texas A&. M and being drafted to the Seattle Storm before transitioning to professional wrestling. He emphasized his admiration for her abilities and character.
“Oh man, I mean, it’s written in stone, man,” Williams said. “She’s quite the athlete herself—of course, Texas A&M, March Madness MVP, drafted to the Seattle Storm, and then decided to bless us with her talents in the WWE ring. She’s a true powerhouse. And me, myself, of course, you know, I’ve been grinding.”
He also playfully acknowledged Legend’s physical attractiveness, stating, “She fine too, Stephen. She fine. You know, I had to go get me a good one. Had to go get me a wrestler.” Williams highlighted the benefits of their relationship, noting their shared profession and frequent travel.
“And, you know, we doing our thing, man. I love what we do. We travel the world every single week. I’m with her because she’s fine. She treats me good,” Williams continued. He then turned to the topic of future financial prospects, predicting substantial NIL opportunities for their future children. “And I know that NIL deals, you know, 20 years from now, are going to be off the chain.”
Williams’ comments reach as the landscape of collegiate and professional athlete compensation continues to evolve, with NIL deals becoming increasingly prevalent. The potential for these deals to expand significantly in the coming decades is a topic of ongoing discussion within the sports industry.
