Thunder Bay Symphony: Celtic Kitchen Party – Mar 14 | TBSO

by Alex Carter - Sports Editor

The Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra will present “Celtic Kitchen Party” on March 14, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. At the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium.

The performance will feature Pierre Schryer, a leading traditional fiddler in Canada, alongside the TBSO. Schryer has received numerous awards and is known for his energetic stage presence, according to the orchestra.

The concert aims to recreate the atmosphere of an East Coast kitchen party, with infectious rhythms and spirited melodies. Jeff Christmas will be conducting the orchestra for the event.

The Thunder Bay Public Library is offering a ticket draw for the performance, with four sets of two tickets available. Registration for the draw opened on February 20 and closes on February 26. Winners will be notified on February 27 and must pick up their tickets by March 5. A valid, full-service library card is required to participate.

Pops Pairs vouchers, which include tickets to both “Celtic Kitchen Party” and a performance of Sarah Slean singing the Joni Mitchell Songbook on April 25, are also available for purchase. Purchasing the vouchers offers a 12.5% discount compared to buying tickets individually.

The event is listed on the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium calendar and further information can be found at tbso.ca.
