INGLEWOOD, Calif. – Anthony Edwards scored 31 points as the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 94-88 on Thursday night, extending their winning record to 5-1 since February 9th.

The Clippers struggled throughout the game, particularly on offense, posting a season-low 38 points in the first half. They were without star player Kawhi Leonard due to an ankle injury, a factor contributing to their difficulties. Los Angeles shot 40.5% from the floor, including a dismal 18.2% (4 of 22) in the second quarter.

Despite a six-point lead in the third quarter, the Clippers were unable to maintain their advantage. Edwards’ drive and reverse layup place the Timberwolves ahead 76-74 with 7:40 remaining, a lead they would not relinquish. Edwards sealed the victory with a step-back 3-pointer with 42.9 seconds left, extending the Timberwolves’ lead to 92-88.

Donte DiVincenzo contributed 18 points for Minnesota, even as Jaden McDaniels and Ayo Dosunmu each added 12. Rudy Gobert secured 13 rebounds. The Timberwolves improved to 2-0 on their current three-game road trip.

Derrick Jones Jr. Led the Clippers with 18 points, and Bennedict Mathurin added 14. Kris Dunn scored 11 points as Los Angeles suffered their third consecutive loss, their first three-game losing streak since December.

The Timberwolves will next face the Denver Nuggets on Sunday. The Clippers will host the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday night.
