AEW Revolution 2026: Brody King Challenges Swerve Strickland, Bandido to Face Andrade El Idolo

Denver, CO – Following a hard-fought victory over Mark Davis on Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Brody King issued a challenge to Swerve Strickland for a match at AEW Revolution on March 15th. The challenge, delivered in the ring after his win, aims to elevate both wrestlers in the pursuit of a future AEW World Championship opportunity.

King framed the challenge as a contest between two of the most dangerous competitors in All Elite Wrestling, stating his intention to prove his dominance. Strickland, who had earlier in the evening addressed the AEW roster following his recent attack on Kenny Omega, was shown backstage during King’s promo, accompanied by Prince Nana, and did not immediately respond to the callout.

Alongside King’s challenge, his tag team partner, Bandido, also sought a match at Revolution. This led to an immediate response from Andrade El Idolo, who appeared on the entrance ramp to accept Bandido’s challenge. The bout between Bandido and El Idolo has been officially announced for the pay-per-view.

The history between King and Strickland extends beyond AEW, with previous confrontations in MLW, DEFY, and PCW. This established rivalry adds another layer of intensity to the potential match at Revolution. Even as Strickland has yet to publicly accept, his previous actions and the existing animosity suggest a likely confrontation.

AEW Revolution is already shaping up to be a significant event, with several matches already confirmed. The card currently includes an AEW Men’s World Championship Texas Deathmatch between MJF and ‘Hangman’ Adam Page, where Page’s future title opportunities are at stake. The AEW Continental Championship will also be contested between Jon Moxley and Konosuke Takeshita in a no time limit match, and FTR will defend their AEW World Tag Team Championships against The Young Bucks.
