Morges, Switzerland – A group of high school students in Morges have launched a new business venture selling solid toothpaste tablets, according to reports published February 23, 2026. The seven students, identified as Evan, Pierrick, Lilly, Joachim, Lili-Rose, Yuna, and Salim, developed the product, named FreshDots, as part of a school mini-enterprise project.
The students, who were largely unfamiliar with each other before the project began, have been balancing their coursework with the demands of running a business, including weekly meetings and logistical challenges, as reported by 24 Heures. The tablets are designed to be a more sustainable alternative to traditional toothpaste tubes.
The concept of toothpaste tablets is gaining traction, with several companies offering similar products in France, according to a report from touteslesbox.fr. Respire and 900.care are among the brands offering solid toothpaste in tablet form, with options to chew or dissolve in the mouth. 900.care’s product is even recommended by the French Union for Oral Dental Health (UFSBD).
900.care offers a subscription service for its tablets, delivering them at regular intervals, and highlights the product’s eco-friendly benefits and effectiveness, including fluoride for cavity protection. Respire’s tablets are made in France with 98% naturally derived ingredients and come in a rechargeable metal container.
The Swiss students’ venture comes as broader trends indicate a growing consumer interest in sustainable oral hygiene products. The touteslesbox.fr report notes the increasing popularity of solid toothpaste as a “nomadic, practical, economical and ecological” option.
While the students’ initial launch is focused on the Morges area, the potential for wider distribution remains to be seen. The group has not yet commented on plans for scaling production or expanding their market reach.
