The Shrouded Sky update, launched today, introduces the hurricane as a dynamic map condition, presenting Raiders with modern challenges. Players will face battering winds, shield-degrading debris, and severely reduced visibility, though the hazardous conditions too offer the potential for lucrative rewards, including “First Wave Raider Caches” unearthed on the surface, according to the ARC Raiders team.
The unexpected severity of the storm has prompted calls for improved weather prediction systems. Shani, a key figure within Speranza, has tasked Raiders with gathering materials to construct a new weather monitoring system, offering rewards for contributions. This initiative underscores the vulnerability of the settlement to unforeseen environmental threats.
Beyond the immediate dangers of the hurricane, two new ARC machine types have been detected on the surface.
