Denison University’s athletic program has appointed Alyson Londot as an assistant coach for the Big Red volleyball team, the university announced Monday.
Londot arrives in Granville after two seasons as an assistant coach at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, where the Dukes achieved a 31-30 overall record and advanced to the A-10 Conference Tournament Semifinals, likewise producing an All-Conference player, according to the university release.
“We are thrilled for Alyson to join our program,” said Head Coach Carter Cassell. “Her technical and tactical knowledge of the game will be incredibly valuable in the development of our players, particularly our pin hitters and back row. Alyson values building relationships and the holistic student-athlete experience. Her experiences both playing and coaching at a high level, combined with her athlete-centered approach, will allow her to serve as an invaluable mentor to our players and help our program in our pursuit of competitive excellence.”
Londot is a 2021 graduate of Robert Morris University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Science in Organizational Leadership. She was a member of the Robert Morris volleyball team for four years, serving as team captain for two seasons and earning five conference academic honor roll recognitions, according to Denison University.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Denison community. Being able to come back to my roots and continue pursuing my passion for the game is incredibly special,” Londot said. “From the first conversations, it was clear how committed Carter is to growth and excellence within the volleyball program. I am excited to get in the gym, invest in our student-athletes, and contribute to continuing to build something special here at Denison.”
The appointment comes as Denison prepares for the upcoming season following a 2025 campaign that saw the Big Red reach the NCAC Tournament Semifinals. Londot’s contract with Denison begins immediately and extends through 2026, according to a Denison University staff directory.
Prior to her time at Duquesne, Londot was an assistant coach at Western Illinois, according to her LinkedIn profile.
