Manage Your Virgin Australia Booking Online | Official Guide

Virgin Australia Airlines provides passengers with tools to manage bookings online, including options to add baggage, select seats, update details, and produce changes or cancellations, according to information available on the airline’s website.

The airline directs customers who made bookings through travel agents or other websites to contact those entities directly for assistance. All bookings, however, can be accessed and viewed online through the “Manage Your Booking” portal on the Virgin Australia website.

Passengers can access the booking management system by entering their booking reference and last name. The portal similarly provides access to check-in information and details regarding managing flight disruptions, including changes and cancellations.

Virgin Australia also highlights reward seat availability for travel to destinations including Melbourne, Bali, Singapore, Los Angeles, and London, redeemable through Velocity Frequent Flyer points. Point requirements vary by destination and class of service, with London requiring the most points at 91,900 for a one-way economy class seat as of January 21, 2025.

The airline is currently offering bonus Velocity Points in partnership with IHG Hotels & Resorts, awarding 2,000 points for stays of three nights or more booked by February 28, 2026. Virgin Australia now allows pets to fly onboard flights between Melbourne and the Sunshine Coast and Melbourne and the Gold Coast.
