Billings Senior High School secured its fourth consecutive Montana High School Girls State Wrestling championship on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the First Interstate Arena in Billings. The Broncs finished with 232 points, outpacing Miles City, who claimed the Class A title with 148.5 points.
The sixth annual Montana High School Girls State Wrestling Tournament saw competition across four classes. Laurel finished third overall with 108 points, followed by Kalispell Flathead (102) and Ronan (99). Fort Benton took the Class B championship, even as Simms won the Class C title.
Billings Senior’s success was highlighted by individual victories from Wai Fandrich at 105 pounds, Piper Gershmel at 115 pounds, Meadow Mahlmeister at 140 pounds, and Tita Fandrich at 145 pounds. Mahlmeister’s win marked a significant step towards becoming one of Montana’s first four-time girls wrestling champions.
Miles City’s championship run in Class A was anchored by Madilyn Juelke’s victory at 190 pounds. Other individual champions included Cali Gorder of Wolf Point (100 pounds), Hayley Petersen of Simms (110 pounds), Taylor Lay of Helena Capital (120 pounds), Madalyn Deiter of Great Falls CMR (125 pounds), Julia Kay of Kalispell Flathead (130 pounds), Cadence Weis of Laurel (135 pounds), Lucy Armstrong of Conrad (155 pounds), Jayda Harbaugh of Baker (170 pounds), and Scarlett Hoiness of Laurel (235 pounds).
