Laetitia Provenchère’s Son: Hospital Visit for Allergy Testing After Staph Infection

by Dr. Michael Lee – Health Editor

Nolann Provenchère, son of French television personality Laëtitia Provenchère, is undergoing further medical evaluation at a hospital following a staphylococcal infection contracted last summer, his mother revealed Friday on Instagram.

The latest hospital visit, reported by multiple French media outlets, centers on a reintroduction of amoxicillin, an antibiotic that previously proved ineffective for the young boy. Provenchère shared on social media that Nolann missed a day of school for the appointment, scheduled for 10:30 a.m. “We don’t really recognize when we’ll be out,” she stated, explaining the process involves administering the medication in compact doses throughout the day while monitoring his reaction.

Nolann initially contracted the staphylococcal infection after being bitten by an insect, according to Provenchère. The initial treatment proved challenging, as his system rejected amoxicilline, prolonging the recovery process. “It took longer to find the antibiotic that would treat him,” Provenchère said in a January Instagram story.

The current hospital stay is part of a series of allergy tests designed to develop a health protocol tailored to Nolann’s needs. Recent tests have yielded encouraging results, with initial allergy screenings coming back negative, according to Provenchère’s Friday update. “For the moment, for all the other tests, it was negative concerning this allergy, so that would be a good thing for him, for later, to be able to take medications without this allergy,” she said.

Provenchère, who stars in the reality television show Familles Nombreuses : La vie en XXL, has been balancing Nolann’s medical appointments with her pregnancy and other family commitments. The timing of the latest tests comes just before the start of school holidays, leaving Provenchère hopeful for a positive outcome.
