A North Carolina State Highway Patrol trooper was involved in a three-vehicle collision Thursday morning on North Carolina Highway 16 in Lincoln County, authorities confirmed.
The incident occurred shortly before 8 a.m. Near the intersection of NC 16 and Optimist Club Road, according to reports. The trooper’s vehicle and two other passenger vehicles sustained damage in the crash. Details regarding the extent of any injuries were not immediately available.
