PopUp Bagels, a Connecticut-based chain specializing in bagels, is expanding its footprint to Texas with a new location planned for Houston’s Town & Country Village, according to a recent announcement.

The forthcoming shop, slated for 700 Town & Country Blvd, will join a previously announced location in Dallas as the company extends its reach beyond the East Coast. Town & Country Village, located in western Houston within the Memorial City district, is an open-air shopping center encompassing over 550,000 square feet of retail space, according to information from Moody Rambin, the development firm that owns the property.

Town & Country Village currently features more than 90 retailers and service merchants, ranging from upscale boutiques to mainstream brands, alongside a variety of restaurants and healthcare services. The shopping center is situated at 12850 Memorial Drive, in the northeast quadrant of Memorial Drive and Beltway 8 (Sam Houston Tollway).

The addition of PopUp Bagels is the latest development for Town & Country Village, which has undergone several transformations since its original construction in the 1960s. From 1983 to 2004, the Village was adjacent to Town & Country Mall, an enclosed shopping mall that was later redeveloped into CityCentre. The current iteration of Town & Country Village includes businesses offering banking, fitness, and healthcare services, as well as dining options.

The shopping center offers a directory of its tenants, including retailers like Ann Taylor, Athleta, and Barnes & Noble, as well as restaurants such as Cafe Express and Escalante’s Mexican Grille. A map of the center is available for download on the Town & Country Village website.
