Valentino creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli and his wife, Simona Caggia, announced the birth of their daughter, Benedetta De Paris, in Borgo Valbelluna, Italy, on February 19, 2026, according to a family statement released today.
The announcement confirmed the birth of Benedetta, joining Piccioli’s other daughter, Stella, whose age was not disclosed. The couple also have a daughter, Benedetta, whose age was also withheld.
The birth took place in the province of Belluno, in the Veneto region of Italy. Piccioli, 55, is the creative director of the Italian luxury fashion house Valentino.
News of the birth coincided with the release of Paul Verhoeven’s 2021 film, Benedetta, a biographical psychological drama starring Virginie Efira as a 17th-century nun who experiences religious visions and engages in a lesbian affair. The film, based on Judith C. Brown’s 1985 book, Immodest Acts: The Life of a Lesbian Nun in Renaissance Italy, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and garnered attention for its controversial subject matter.
Attendees at a recent Valentino after-party in Paris included Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, 23, and his wife, actor Nicola Peltz Beckham, 27, as well as actors Florence Pugh, 26, Ashley Park, 31, Dove Cameron, 26, and Jenna Ortega, 20. The event was hosted by Piccioli.
