Trojan Energy: Connected Kerb Acquires EV Charging Tech After Collapse | UK News

Connected Kerb has acquired the ‘Flat & Flush’ on-street electric vehicle (EV) charging technology and network from Trojan Energy, effective immediately, Dentons announced today.

The deal, advised by Dentons for Connected Kerb, brings together the two companies’ respective technologies and is intended to accelerate the deployment of EV charging infrastructure, particularly in urban areas. All 63 of Trojan Energy’s employees will transfer to Connected Kerb as part of the transaction.

Trojan Energy’s ‘Flat & Flush’ system utilizes subsurface electricity ports installed in pavements, connecting to portable chargers. This allows for a completely flush surface when not in use. By February 2026, Trojan Energy had installed approximately 1,500 charging points.

Connected Kerb will maintain operation of Trojan’s existing 1,500 live charge points and integrate Trojan’s Flat & Flush Hub and Home products into its existing portfolio. The acquisition is expected to enhance Connected Kerb’s solutions portfolio, enabling it to serve a wider range of urban locations, including heritage listed areas, and improve operational efficiencies.

“This acquisition marks a pivotal moment in our mission to make reliable, accessible EV charging available to everyone, especially those without driveways,” said Chris Pateman-Jones, CEO of Connected Kerb. “Trojan’s cutting – edge subsurface technology perfectly complements Connected Kerb’s long – life, smart charging infrastructure. Together, we’re building a future where clean transport is easy, equitable, and built for all communities.”

The sale follows a pre-pack administration process handled by Interpath, according to Scottish Financial News.
