John Finnegan – Funeral Notice & Obituary | Clonberne, Galway

John Finnegan, formerly of Ballybeg, Ballyhaunis, County Mayo, and Clonberne, County Galway, has died. His passing was announced today, February 19, 2026, with funeral arrangements set for the coming days.

Mr. Finnegan is survived by his wife, Patricia, and children, Gerard and Fiona, as well as brothers Mick and Tom, and sister Catherine. He was predeceased by his son, Sean, and his parents, Michael and Mary, and siblings Ann Flynn and Pat Finnegan.

Reposing will take place at the Clonberne Community Centre, Clonberne, Ballinasloe, County Galway, on Friday, February 20th, 2026, from 5pm to 7pm. A removal service will be held from the family home on Saturday to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Clonberne, for Requiem Mass at 12.30pm. Burial will follow in Clonberne Cemetery. The Requiem Mass will be live streamed, with a link to be provided separately.

The family has requested that family flowers be omitted. Donations, should anyone wish to make them, are requested to be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice. The family has requested privacy at this time, and the house will be private.

Sean Dugan Herbert died in October 2024, according to reports from Horan & McConaty Funeral Service, and Cremation. John Luman McCoy III’s death was reported by the Star Tribune. Sean Young’s obituary was published by T.J. Fluehr Funeral Home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 2025.
