The Brookfield Zoo will host its first-ever wildlife lantern festival, “Glow Wild,” beginning this spring, transforming the park into an illuminated display of handcrafted lanterns.
The after-hours event will feature large-scale lanterns depicting animals and scenes inspired by wildlife, global traditions, and mythical worlds, according to a press release. The festival aims to blend art, culture, and conservation, offering visitors an immersive nighttime experience.
“Glow Wild” requires a separate ticket for admission, distinct from the zoo’s general admission passes. Standard guest passes, as well as programs like Museums for All, Museum Passports, Museum Works, and Museum Adventures, will not be valid for entry to the lantern festival, but remain applicable for daytime visits.
The event is designed to appeal to families, couples, and individuals interested in unique nighttime events. Organizers are encouraging attendees to purchase tickets in advance, anticipating high demand.
The lantern festival marks a first for the Brookfield Zoo, adding a new dimension to its offerings and providing a novel way to engage with wildlife themes. The event is expected to draw significant crowds and contribute to the zoo’s ongoing conservation efforts.
