CLEVELAND, Ohio – Masked metal group Mushroomhead and industrial pioneers Fear Factory announced Wednesday the “Soul of a New War Machine” U.S. Co-headlining tour, set to launch October 13th in New Haven, Connecticut. The 23-city tour will conclude November 11th in Nashville, Tennessee, with support from Chinese Mongolian progressive metal outfit Nine Treasures.
The tour marks a significant joint venture for both bands, each navigating distinct phases in their respective careers. Mushroomhead, formed in Cleveland in 1996, released their ninth studio album, Call The Devil, in August 2024 via Napalm Records. The album notably features the return of guitarist Dave “Gravy” Felton, a key contributor to some of the band’s most recognizable tracks, including “Along The Way” and “Sun Doesn’t Rise,” after a 12-year absence. Production was again handled by drummer Steve “Skinny” Felton, with mixing duties shared with Matt Wallace, who previously worked on Mushroomhead’s album XIII.
Fear Factory, a foundational act in the industrial metal scene, has focused on live performances since the release of their 2021 album, Aggression Continuum. The band underwent a period of transition following the departure of founding vocalist Burton C. Bell in 2020, with Milo Silvestro assuming frontman duties a year later. Ticketmaster currently lists Fear Factory’s tour schedule, reflecting their continued commitment to touring.
The tour’s itinerary includes a stop at the Agora Theater in Cleveland on October 31st, a tradition for Mushroomhead as their annual Halloween show. Additional dates include performances in Pennsylvania, Illinois, Michigan, and Texas, among other states.
General ticket sales for select dates are scheduled to begin Friday, February 20th, at 10 a.m. Local time, according to announcements from Blabbermouth and Consequence.
The announcement arrives as both bands continue to solidify their positions within the metal landscape, appealing to long-time fans and potentially attracting new audiences with this combined touring effort. The full list of tour dates, as published by Metal Injection, is available here.
