Sacramento State defeated UC Davis 193.625-192.225 in a gymnastics dual meet Sunday at The Nest, despite a standout performance from Aggies all-arounder Amelia Moneymaker.
Moneymaker secured a 9.900 on beam, her second such score of the season, and contributed to UC Davis’s winning score of 48.650 on that event, alongside Cady Chiu. She also set a season-high in the all-around with a total of 39.300, adding to her school record of 20 career all-around performances of at least 39.000, according to UC Davis Athletics.
The junior gymnast’s success extended beyond the beam. She won the vault and bars competitions with matching scores of 9.775, and finished second on floor with a 9.850. Kara Houghton of Sacramento State took first place on floor with a 9.875.
Chiu also had a strong showing for the Aggies, achieving a career-high 9.850 on beam, placing second in the event. Avah Reichow finished fifth on floor with a 9.775, while Chloe Gann’s 9.700 on vault earned her fourth place.
McKenna Knecht scored 9.650 on bars for a fourth-place finish, and Jehaan Poonja rounded out the top five on bars with a 9.625. Sacramento State won the vault competition with a score of 48.500 and the bars with 48.100, while also taking the floor exercise with 48.875.

UC Davis competes as a Division I program and is transitioning to the Mountain West Conference beginning in the 2026–27 season.
