by Dr. Michael Lee – Health Editor

Thirty-two blood donors participated in a collection drive held in Doulevant-le-Château on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, with thirty successfully donating, including a first-time donor. The event, organized by the French Blood Establishment (Établissement français du sang) and the local blood donation association, presided over by Daniel Cayot, marked the first of four scheduled collections for the year.

The collection took place at the town’s community hall and organizers described the turnout as “generous.” The association is encouraging continued participation, with the next collection scheduled for Wednesday, April 8, from 3:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location. Individuals seeking further information can contact the association at 03.25.55.60.41 or via email at cayot.daniel@orange.fr.

Donating blood in Doulevant-le-Château is seen as a vital contribution to the French healthcare system, supporting hospitals and providing assistance to patients in need, according to information available online. A nearby collection point is located in Dommartin-le-Saint-Père, at La Scierie.

A Facebook post from the Communauté de Communes du Bassin de Joinville-en-Champagne announced a previous collection scheduled for November 10, 2025, also at the Salle Jean Favre in Doulevant-le-Château, demonstrating a regular schedule of blood donation events in the area.

Other blood donation locations are available throughout France, including in Nice, Arles, Marseille, and Toulon, according to the French Blood Establishment’s online collection map.
