A custom-designed, manga-themed autocaravan is serving as the mobile base for the Sánchez Saborido family as they explore Japan, with daughters Salma and Daniela noting the vehicle “seems like a toy” due to its entirely pink interior, from the refrigerator to the sofa cushions.

The family, consisting of Joaquín Sánchez, Susana Saborido, and their daughters, began their journey in Japan after departing from Seville and arriving in Tokyo, according to Antena 3. Their itinerary includes stops at iconic locations such as Mount Fuji, Takayama, Nara, Kyoto, and Okinawa.

Susana Saborido and Salma were seen admiring the view of Mount Fuji at 7:00 a.m., with Saborido describing the scene as “insanely beautiful.” The family’s travels haven’t been without challenges; they encountered difficulties navigating frozen caves, resulting in bumps and slips on the ice. A visit to a local amusement park also proved memorable for Salma, who declared it featured the largest roller coaster she had ever seen.

The trip, which is being documented as part of the Antena 3 program ‘El Capitán en Japón,’ aims to foster better communication and coexistence among family members, with a stated goal of reducing arguments. The program premiered on February 11th, achieving a 15.1% audience share and attracting over 2.5 million viewers, according to El Faro del Guadarrama.

Joaquín Sánchez and his family are traveling the length of Japan, with the program set to air on Antena 3 Internacional on February 18th and available on the atresplayer platform. The family departed from Seville and is currently making its way through various cities and cultural landmarks.

While traveling in the autocaravan towards Mount Fuji, Joaquín Sánchez revealed a previously unknown detail about his daughter Salma, stating she had been crying.
