Harry Styles: New Album, Italy, Marathons & Life Changes Revealed

Harry Styles’ fourth studio album, “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally,” is slated for release on March 6, marking a return to music after a period of personal exploration and a deliberate step back from the spotlight.

The forthcoming album follows the success of his previous releases: his 2017 self-titled debut, 2019’s “Fine Line,” and the Grammy-winning 2022 album, “Harry’s House,” which spawned the chart-topping hit “As It Was.” Styles previewed the new album with the single “Aperture,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in early February.

Styles, 32, detailed a conscious shift in lifestyle during a recent interview with The Sunday Times Magazine, published Saturday. Following the conclusion of his extensive “Love on Tour” in 2023 – a 22-month global trek – he prioritized personal growth and a change of pace.

A pivotal period unfolded during the summer of 2024, when Styles spent time in Italy with friend Alessandro Michele, the former creative director at Gucci. He described this time as a “transitional moment” and an opportunity to establish a more settled existence. “It was healthy for me to have something as an outlet that gave me some structure in a moment where I was spending a lot of time by myself,” Styles said.

The experience fostered a newfound appreciation for slowing down, a concept he attributes to the Italian lifestyle. “Italy became so important to me because I was so used to everything moving so quickly and being on the go,” he explained. “I realized the pleasure in just being in the moment of what you’re doing. The Romans are the best at that.”

Personal milestones also shaped this period of reflection. The birth of his niece, daughter to his sister Gemma, proved particularly grounding. “To be there to get to know my niece as she’s growing up, it’s so obvious to me what’s real,” Styles stated. “It was really obvious that was where I wanted to be.”

Styles has also made deliberate changes to his relationship with technology, removing Instagram from his phone. “I feel so much healthier in my relationship with this world that I’m stepping back into,” he said.

Beyond music and family, Styles has dedicated himself to long-distance running, a passion he rekindled in his early twenties. He completed the Tokyo Marathon in March 2025, finishing in the top fraction of runners with a time of three hours and 24 minutes. He also ran the Berlin Marathon later that year, completing the 26.2-mile course in two hours and 59 minutes under the pseudonym “Sted Sarandos.”

The photoshoot accompanying the Sunday Times interview was captured by British photographer Martin Parr in the summer of 2024, shortly after Styles’ 30th birthday. Styles described Parr as a “British icon” and praised his ability to find beauty in everyday life, noting Parr’s focus on “the quieter side of British culture.” Parr passed away in December 2024.

Styles is scheduled to embark on a global residency tour following the release of “Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.”
