Lithuanian E-commerce Trends: Gyms & Travel Surge in January

by Priya Shah – Business Editor

Lithuania is seeing a surge in gym memberships and travel bookings as January concludes, according to data from BPN Intense, a media planning agency. The increase in visitors to fitness platforms like Gymplus.lt and LemonGym.lt mirrors a broader trend of renewed commitment to physical activity following the new year.

Lemon Gym, with 16 clubs across Lithuania, operates on a 24/7 schedule and offers a range of services including personal and group training, saunas, and specialized therapies like “Rollshaper” massage and red light therapy. The company is currently offering a 50% discount for six-month memberships. New locations in Vilnius Akropolis and Šiauliai Akropolis are offering free seven-day trials, according to the company’s website.

Gymplus, another major player in the Lithuanian fitness market, boasts 35 clubs in 10 cities, likewise operating around the clock. Memberships include access to saunas, filtered water, and introductory training sessions. Gymplus offers various membership tiers, with prices starting at €14.90 per month, and includes options for solarium access and holiday pauses of up to 30 days. Members can manage their accounts, including payments and reservations for group training, through an online self-service portal, and activate access using a six-digit code sent via SMS.

Alongside the fitness boom, the tourism sector is also experiencing increased activity. The annual tourism exhibition “Vivattur” at the finish of January is driving special offers for the upcoming summer season, according to BPN Intense.

Gymplus members can access a self-service portal to view membership details, payment history, and personal data, change membership types, order additional services, update contact information, and manage account payments. The portal also allows registration for introductory and group training sessions, viewing schedules, receiving notifications about available places, and managing membership transfers or interruptions.
