Recent Delhi – Hyperlocal platform magicpin is targeting 20 million active users by the conclude of 2026, with a strategic focus on expanding its food delivery service, according to CEO and Founder Anshoo Sharma.

The company, which reached 15 million active users across e-commerce, ticketing and food delivery last year, is prioritizing the value-conscious consumer segment for growth, Sharma stated in an interview with PTI on Sunday. This focus is particularly aimed at students and first-time job seekers, who represent a significant portion of the platform’s current user base.

“Our focus is on building value-conscious food delivery users who order frequently and engage habitually,” Sharma said. “We aim to grow our active user base to 20 million in 2026 with food delivery as a key growth driver.”

Currently, a majority of magicpin’s 15 million active users are located in major Indian cities and fall within the 18-35 age group. The platform’s food delivery vertical is already the primary driver of growth, benefiting from repeat customers and increased transactions across different categories, Sharma noted. The average order value for food delivery on magicpin is currently Rs 300.

Sharma observed a broader trend in India’s consumption economy, characterized by a shift towards value-led and habitual spending, particularly within the food delivery sector among students and working professionals. This trend is informing magicpin’s strategy to cultivate a loyal user base and expand its reach.
