Winnemucca, Nevada – The Nevada Interscholastic Athletic Association (NIAA) state wrestling championships commenced Friday at the Winnemucca Events Center, with competition continuing through Saturday, culminating in championship finals across Class 2A, 3A, 5A, and girls wrestling divisions. Athletes competing in the 2026 NIAA 2A/3A/5A Individual Wrestling Championship Finals Day 1 on Mat #5 have described the opportunity as pivotal for their careers.
The championships began with Class 5A round of 16 matches at noon PST on Friday, followed by championship quarterfinals in all classes at 12:40 p.m. Championship semifinals were held Friday evening at 6 p.m. Saturday’s schedule includes consolation semifinals in all classes at 9 a.m., leading to the championship finals at 1:30 p.m. PST.
All matches are being live-streamed on the NFHS Network, accessible via eight mats. A subscription to the NFHS Network costs $13.99 per month or $79.99 annually. Tickets to the event at the Winnemucca Events Center are available for $13 for adults and $6 for students.
