The San Antonio River Authority (SARA) will host a free outdoor screening of “F1: The Movie (2025)” on Saturday, February 28th, 2026, at Mustard Seed Plaza along San Pedro Creek Culture Park. The event is intended to celebrate the beginning of the racing season, according to a promotional announcement.
The screening is scheduled to run from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets for seating. First-reach, first-served popcorn will be provided free of charge.
Free parking will be available at 50 El Paso Street, as well as at the nearby U.S. Post Office located at 1140 S Laredo St.
Mustard Seed Plaza is as well the location for regular story time events hosted by SARA, with the most recent scheduled for March 27, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
Ongoing maintenance work along the Mission Reach section of the San Antonio River is currently underway. As of February 12, 2026, the Acequia Park Trailhead is temporarily closed due to stem density removal, impacting the trail section south of Theo Avenue and Probandt Street to Mission Road. Work is focused on the west bank and is expected to continue through Spring 2026. The work aims to manage flood risk and protect infrastructure.
SARA can be contacted at (210) 227-1373 for questions regarding the maintenance work, or further information is available on their website at sariverauthority.org.
Tickets for “F1: The Movie” are currently available at Santikos Palladium and Santikos Casa Blanca theaters in San Antonio, with open caption screenings also offered at Casa Blanca.
