Karrion Kross & Scarlett Bordeaux: Life After WWE & Independent Success

by Alex Carter - Sports Editor

Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux, who departed from WWE in August 2025, have expressed contentment with their current independent careers, emphasizing the invaluable experiences and opportunities they’ve gained outside of the “machine” of a major wrestling promotion.

Speaking to TV Insider, Kross described his and Bordeaux’s post-WWE outlook as “very live and let live,” stating they are “not even salty about where things are at or where we are right now.” He characterized their time on the independent circuit as a period of significant learning, acquiring “information we could not have acquired without being independent.” This includes a deeper understanding of diverse wrestling and entertainment markets.

“We’ve learned a lot about different markets… that we would not have been able to learn had we been inside the machine,” Kross said. He and Bordeaux both believe their current success is directly tied to the support of their fanbase. “Believe me when I tell you and I think Scarlett will tell you the same, we’re very happy where we are at. I can tell you maybe we would not have been if the audience did not come with us.”

Despite a potential perception of fading from public view due to less mainstream media exposure, Kross asserted that they are consistently performing in “two or three major cities every weekend,” appearing at comic cons, conventions, and independent wrestling shows. He noted the continued strong attendance at these events, describing the fan support as “overwhelming” and growing.

According to a report from F4WOnline, Kross and Bordeaux are prioritizing enjoyment and storytelling in their current work. They also indicated they are not actively seeking modern contracts with major wrestling organizations.

Scarlett Bordeaux, whose professional wrestling career began in 2012, is also a model, singer, and ring announcer, and is best known for her time in WWE alongside her husband, Karrion Kross, according to Wikipedia. She has also competed in Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, Ring of Honor (ROH), and Impact Wrestling.

Reports indicate that Kross and Bordeaux’s current contracts are set to expire in March 2026, as noted by Archyde.
