Google Pixel Problems: Issues with Pixel 8 Pro & 10 Pro

by Dr. Michael Lee – Health Editor

Reports of widespread software issues are mounting for both Google’s Pixel phones and Apple’s iPhones, with users detailing frustrating glitches and performance problems. Even as Apple’s iOS 26 has been under scrutiny for weeks, a growing number of Pixel owners are now voicing concerns about instability and recurring bugs across multiple device models.

The issues affecting Pixel phones, which have been reported for months, are not limited to a single device. Users are reporting problems ranging from Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity failures to camera and flashlight malfunctions. A system update in January reportedly triggered widespread Wi-Fi and Bluetooth dropouts, rendering those features unusable for many. While subsequent updates have attempted to address some of these issues, users say they often introduce modern problems in the process.

The Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro are frequently cited in user complaints. One Pixel 10 Pro XL owner, posting on Reddit, described a recurring issue where the always-on display freezes, rendering the phone unresponsive to touch and button presses. The user, identified as Southern-Class-7946, sarcastically noted the problem with a phone costing over 1,000 euros. Other users in the Reddit thread confirmed experiencing the same issue, with some reporting it happening multiple times in the past month. A temporary fix involves restarting the device, but the problem continues to resurface.

Similar to the situation with iOS 26, the Pixel issues don’t appear to affect all devices equally. Some users report a smooth experience, while others are increasingly frustrated. Gordon Lutz of 9to5Google wrote that, “After the last updates, barely anything works correctly on my Pixel 8 Pro.”

Google is reportedly aware of the problems, but has not issued an official statement. The latest software update, released in February 2026, does not specifically address the reported connectivity issues or crashes. The company has not provided a timeline for a more comprehensive fix.
