Incheon Port Authority (IPA) launched a social media event, “Catch the Luck of Incheon Port,” on February 12, 2026, utilizing its official Instagram and Facebook channels, according to a statement released by the IPA.

The event, timed to coincide with the Lunar New Year holiday, aims to broaden digital communication with the public and enhance the IPA’s image as an accessible public institution, the authority said. The initiative responds to increased social media usage during the holiday period.

Unlike previous promotional campaigns, this event features an interactive component. Participants are tasked with identifying a ship carrying a moving fortune pouch within event-related content, according to the IPA. This approach is intended to naturally familiarize the public with Incheon Port and foster greater understanding of its operations.

The event runs from February 13 to February 19, 2026. To participate, individuals must follow the IPA’s official SNS channels and submit a screenshot verifying their participation, as outlined in the event details. A total of 50 winners will be selected through a lottery and awarded prizes.

Winners will be announced on the IPA’s official SNS channels in late February, with individual notifications to follow.

“We are committed to fostering communication with the public and establishing ‘Incheon Port as a future port connected by trust’ as our communication slogan,” the IPA stated. The agency continues to pursue various initiatives to solidify communication as a core management value.

IPA President and CEO Lee Kyung-kyu initiated a safety inspection of the Incheon Port Coastal Passenger Terminal on February 3, 2026, in preparation for the Lunar New Year travel peak. The inspection focused on potential hazards along passenger routes, including icy areas in parking lots, the condition of waiting rooms and public address systems, and pedestrian safety on boarding ramps. The IPA will deploy additional staff during the holiday period and operate a joint emergency response team with the Incheon Port Facilities Corporation to address congestion, customer complaints, and inclement weather conditions. The IPA likewise plans to offer maritime safety experience programs and cultural events, including traditional games and local product promotions, during the special transport period.
