Barcelona Sporting Club will unveil its 2026 squad at the “Noche Amarilla” (Yellow Night) event in Quito on Friday, February 13th, at the Estadio Olímpico Atahualpa. This marks the fourth time the club has held the event in the capital city, following previous editions in 2016, 2024, and 2025.
The event, scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM local time, will feature performances from Colombian singer Kevin Roldán, fellow Colombian artist Paola Jara, Venezuelan group Los Adolescentes, Don Medardo, and Constelación vallenata. A friendly match between Barcelona SC veterans and players from Liga de Quito is also planned, preceding the official presentation of the 2026 team.
This year’s veterans’ match will pit former “Ídolo del Astillero” players against a team from Sociedad Deportiva Aucas, a departure from previous years when Deportivo Quito served as the opponent. Confirmed players for the Barcelona SC legends team include Máximo Banguera, José Francisco Cevallos, José Luis Perlaza, Matías Oyola, Felipe Caicedo, Agustín Delgado, Jaime Iván Kaviedes, Jacinto Espinoza, Néicer Reasco, Patricio Urrutia, Paúl Ambrosi, Edison Méndez, and Antonio Valencia. The match will consist of two 15-minute halves.
Following the veterans’ game, Barcelona SC will officially present its 2026 roster before concluding the evening with a friendly match against Aucas.
