Tensions flared on the Norwegian reality television display “Farmen kjendis” (Celebrity Farm) after contestants were asked to rank each other based on their perceived worthiness of a place in the finale, according to reports from Norwegian media outlets TV 2 and Nettavisen.
The exercise resulted in a heated exchange between several participants, particularly Fritz Aanes, Karsten Blomvik, Heidi Røneid, and Jonas Lihaug. Røneid reportedly expressed strong dissatisfaction with the rankings, questioning the criteria used by her fellow contestants. “I think it’s sick. I gave you eight points, and you gave me maybe two or three – I don’t even know. Shut up, now I’m talking,” Røneid said during the televised confrontation, as reported by Nettavisen.
Aanes defended his ranking, explaining that he prioritized those who had consistently competed in and won challenges. Røneid countered that simply surviving challenges shouldn’t be the sole determinant of a finalist’s merit. “You think that having been in a fight is worth a lot more than everything else,” she stated, according to Nettavisen.
Blomvik, who was designated as a secret informant on the show – a new twist this season – criticized the tone of the argument, describing the exchange between Røneid and Lihaug as “silly.” “It doesn’t get resolved. It’s unpleasant and inappropriate. It’s stupid that two people who are just under and over 40 years ancient talk like two 17-year-olds in a fight with girlfriends. It’s completely silly,” Blomvik said, as reported by Nettavisen.
Lihaug, speaking to Nettavisen during filming last summer, revealed he was deeply frustrated by the rankings and expressed anger towards Aanes. He later expressed regret for harsh words he used, reportedly calling Aanes a “cowardly bitch,” a comment he later retracted. “I was disappointed and angry. It came down to people thinking differently when it came to the ranking. It resulted in me calling Fritz a cowardly bitch, if I remember correctly. Those are regretful words. Fritz Aanes is many things, but a cowardly bitch he is not. I stand by that,” Lihaug said.
Blomvik similarly told Nettavisen that the argument created a tense atmosphere on the farm, although contestants eventually moved past the conflict. “I know they regret being so angry, but there was no apology in the moment or the next day. It built up into a hell of a situation. It was really bad, but now we’re done with it and are friends,” Blomvik stated.
According to Se og Hør, Fritz Aanes earned 1.9 million Norwegian kroner in 2024, making him the highest-earning participant from the 2024 season of “Farmen kjendis,” with a reported net worth of 3.3 million kroner.
