Zachariah Hoyt, known online as Asmongold, stepped down from leadership positions at both One True King (OTK) and Starforge Systems following criticism of comments made during a Twitch stream, according to reports from November 2025.

Hoyt, born in 1990 in Florida and later raised in Austin, Texas, initially gained prominence as a World of Warcraft streamer. His popularity surged with the 2019 release of World of Warcraft Classic, establishing him as a leading figure on Twitch. He continued to be a popular streamer during the 2020 launch of the Shadowlands expansion.

Beyond streaming, Hoyt co-founded and co-owned OTK, a streaming, gaming, and content creation organization based in Austin, Texas. He also held a co-ownership stake in Starforge Systems, a company specializing in prebuilt gaming PCs.

The controversy leading to his departure from leadership roles stemmed from comments made on a Twitch stream that were perceived as anti-Palestinian. The backlash prompted Hoyt to relinquish his positions at both OTK and Starforge, though he continues to stream on Twitch under the name “zackrawrr” and maintain a YouTube channel, Asmongold TV, with 4.2 million subscribers and 4.5 billion views as of November 8, 2025.

As of February 10, 2026, neither OTK nor Starforge Systems have publicly announced replacements for Hoyt’s leadership roles. The subreddit dedicated to Asmongold, with 517,000 subscribers, remains active.
