Dave LaGreca Reports AMC Is ‘Over The Moon’ Following TNA Wrestling Debut Episode
Dave LaGreca reported on Sunday that AMC is very pleased with the debut episode of TNA wrestling on their network. The show aired on saturday night and featured a main event between Moose and Alex Shelley.
LaGreca, co-host of the Busted Open Radio show, stated that sources at AMC told him the network is “over the moon” with the initial ratings and social media engagement. He added that AMC executives were notably happy with the show’s ability to attract a new audience.
“I’m getting word from sources at AMC that they are over the moon with the debut of TNA Wrestling on their network last night,” LaGreca said. “Really, really happy with the numbers, the social media buzz, and the fact that they were able to bring in a new audience.”
TNA Wrestling moved to AMC after spending years on Impact Plus and, more recently, on AXS TV. The move to AMC is expected to give the promotion a significant boost in viewership and exposure.
The first episode on AMC featured commentary from Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt. The show also included appearances from several TNA stars, including Josh Alexander, Chris Sabin, and KUSHIDA.
The next episode of TNA Wrestling on AMC is scheduled to air on February 3rd.
