Living in California, north or south, coyote sightings are common.
I’ve lost count of how many outdoor cats my family has lost to thes crafty critters over the years, and even one small dog (Rest in peace, Lulu).
Coyotes are survivors—wild animals existing in urban landscapes. Recently, one coyote went viral after traveling through the San Francisco Bay, presumably from the mainland, and onto Alcatraz Island. This is believed to be the first time a coyote has been documented on the historic island.
