Marvel Studios’ marketing for Avengers: Doomsday has kept fans guessing, with each teaser sparking new theories. As talk of a fifth teaser arriving in theaters this week grows, reports suggest Marvel might be going a different route. Rather of more short previews, it appears the studio is saving its biggest reveal for a larger event.
Will there be a new Avengers: Doomsday teaser 5 this week?
Despite the online buzz, a fifth Avengers: Doomsday teaser isn’t expected this week. Industry insider @MyTimeToShineHello stated that Marvel only sent four teasers to theaters, making additional mini-previews unlikely,at least for now. They posted on X (formerly Twitter), “I hear only 4 teasers were sent to theaters for Doomsday so despite the listing don’t expect a 5th and 6th trailers. we’ll see though.”
Though plans can change, nothing new has been confirmed.
So far, these teasers have played in theaters before appearing online. One featured Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans, on a motorcycle, reflecting on his Captain America suit, and holding a baby. Another spotlighted Thor, with Chris Hemsworth’s god of Thunder praying to Odin, preparing for battle, and having quiet moments with his daughter, Love. A third teaser showcased Charles Xavier, Magneto, and Cyclops, leaving fans with much to discuss. The fourth took us to Wakanda and included Namor and Ben from The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
With a fifth teaser looking doubtful, the focus is now on a bigger, more elaborate trailer, reportedly debuting during super Bowl LX on February 8, 2026. TrailerTrack reported,“There’s no question whatsoever from what we’re hearing at this point that the AVENGERS DOOMSDAY full trailer will debut during the Super Bowl.”
Though, not everyone agrees. Some fans beleive Disney will save the Doomsday trailer for D23 rather, arguing it should instead highlight The Mandalorian & Grogu.
They claim Disney wouldn’t want to risk a poor box office showing for Star Wars’ return to theaters by skipping the Super Bowl. Hype is building quickly nonetheless, and Avengers: Doomsday also marks the Russo brothers’ return to the MCU.
