Idaho Men’s Tennis Falls to Arizona State in Season Opener

MOSCOW, Idaho – The Idaho Men’s Tennis team began its spring season with a challenging 7-0 defeat⁤ against Arizona ‌State University on Sunday afternoon.​ Despite a hard-fought battle,particularly in doubles play,the Vandals ⁢couldn’t overcome the Sun Devils’ strong performance.

Doubles Competition: A Close Start

The ⁣match commenced with a competitive doubles round. Mikolaj‍ Lis and Sander paradis secured‌ a⁢ crucial victory ⁤for ⁣Idaho at the No. 2 position, winning 7-6. ​This win provided an early⁣ boost ​for the Vandals. However,the Sun Devils‍ responded strongly. Chetanna Amadike and Gabriel Moroder fought valiantly in the No. 1 spot,⁤ narrowly losing 7-6 to‍ Kristof Minarik‍ and Milos Mikovic. The No. 3 doubles⁤ pairing⁣ of Noe De Col and Paul Janson ultimately fell with a‍ score of 4-6, giving Arizona State the ⁤edge and the overall doubles point.
