Neste Expands Payment Options for Renewable Energy Charging in the Baltics
Neste is enhancing the accessibility of electric vehicle charging with a new pilot program in Latvia, allowing customers to pay for sessions at “Neste MY Renewable Charge” stations using the Mobilly app. This addition complements the existing payment method thru the Neste app, offering drivers greater adaptability.
According to Risto Karppinen,Neste’s Vice President of Lasting Growth,Marketing and Services, the collaboration with Mobilly is a test of new payment solutions as Neste continues to broaden its charging network and improve convenience.Valdis Bergs, Chairman of the Board of Mobilly, expressed pride in the partnership, highlighting the benefit for Mobilly users in Latvia who frequently utilize the app for parking, public transport, and other daily payments.
During the pilot, Mobilly customers will have access to the same advantageous night tariff currently available to Neste app users. Looking ahead, Neste plans to introduce bank card payment options at its “Neste MY Renewable Charge” stations across the Baltics by 2026, further diversifying payment choices.
Currently, Neste operates 5 “Neste MY Renewable Charge” stations in Latvia and 11 throughout the Baltic States. All stations are powered by 100% renewable energy. Neste prioritizes a comfortable charging experience, equipping stations with ample parking, weather protection canopies, and, at select locations, convenient access to Narvesen stores and Hesburger restaurants.
Neste will evaluate the pilot program’s results to determine potential implementation of Mobilly payment integration across its entire Baltic network.
