Real Madrid Reportedly Interested in Victor Osimhen, Says Nigerian Legend Sunday Oliseh
Madrid, Spain – December 4, 2025 – Real Madrid is ”seriously” considering a transfer for Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen, according to former nigerian National Team coach and celebrated footballer Sunday Oliseh. The claim, made during an appearance on the Insight Podcast, suggests a potential move contingent on the future of current Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior.
Oliseh, who played for Ajax, Juventus, and Borussia Dortmund during his distinguished career, stated he received the details from a “high-level name” within football circles. “If Vinicius Junior leaves Real Madrid, Mbappe will return to the left wing, which is his natural position, and Real Madrid will transfer a center-forward. At this point, Osimhen’s name is mentioned very much. I will not say how I got this information, but Real Madrid seriously wants Osimhen. I heard this from a high-level name. We will see how it turns out,” Oliseh said.
Should the transfer materialize, Osimhen would become the first Nigerian player to feature in Real madrid’s A team as the club’s founding in 1902.
The 27-year-old Osimhen joined Galatasaray this season for a reported €75 million and currently has 3.5 years remaining on his contract. He has been in prolific form, scoring 9 goals in 13 matches this season, following a stellar 2024-2025 campaign where he netted 37 goals and provided 8 assists in 41 appearances for the Turkish club.
