newly Released Photos Reveal Interior of Jeffrey Epstein’s Caribbean Island
Images of the private Caribbean island owned by the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have been released by the US House Oversight Committee, offering a rare glimpse into the grounds where he allegedly committed numerous sexual crimes. The photographs, previously unseen by the public, depict areas including living quarters, a spa room with a shower, and other facilities on Little St. james, the 115-acre island.
The release of these images comes as the committee continues its investigation into Epstein’s crimes and the failures that allowed them to occur. Lawmakers are seeking to understand the full extent of the abuse that took place on the island and to hold accountable those who enabled it. The photos are intended to provide a visual record of the habitat where victims allege they were abused, and to aid in ongoing efforts to uncover the truth about Epstein’s network.
The US House Oversight Committee obtained the images as part of its investigation and published them on February 29, 2024. One photograph shows what appears to be a spa room, complete with a shower, suggesting the island was equipped for providing services beyond basic accommodation. Another image displays a general view of the island’s structures.
The committee is chaired by Representative James Comer, who has been vocal about the need for transparency in the Epstein case. The investigation has already revealed numerous failures in the handling of Epstein’s initial 2008 Florida case, including a controversial non-prosecution agreement that allowed him to avoid federal charges.
