Puerto Rico Basketball Federation to Address Player Commitment Following FIBA Window Losses

SAN JUAN, puerto Rico – The Puerto‌ Rico Basketball Federation⁢ (FBPUR) ​will meet with ⁢General Manager Carlos Arroyo and Head Coach Carlos González to⁢ discuss player availability and commitment following a challenging start to the FIBA⁣ qualifying windows, ⁤announced FBPUR President Yum Ramos.

ramos acknowledged concerns regarding ‌player participation, an issue previously raised by ⁣González after the team’s second ⁤game. While details of the‌ discussion remain undisclosed, Ramos ‌stated, “there is a lot of room⁤ for improvement and we need greater commitment for ​future events.”

The⁤ FBPUR plans‍ to outline a plan of action following the meeting with Arroyo, the National team Committee, and González.

Several key players were unavailable ⁣for the recent window, including⁤ NBA player Jose Alvarado (New Orleans Pelicans), who was actively playing, and Tai Odiase, sidelined by injury. Ysmael Romero, George⁣ Conditt IV, and jordan Howard were competing in Asian leagues, and Ethan Thompson had signed a two-way contract with the Indiana ‌Pacers.
