Concerns are mounting for the health of Thomas Markle, father of the Duchess of meghan, following emergency surgery in the Philippines. His son, Thomas Jr., confirmed to multiple news outlets that the 81-year-old is currently in intensive care.
According to thomas Jr., his father became seriously ill at home on Tuesday, requiring immediate hospitalization. Doctors resolute markle’s life was in “imminent danger,” prompting a transfer by ambulance to a larger medical facility where he underwent a three-hour operation. Another procedure to remove a blood clot is anticipated.
“I would ask everyone around the world to keep him in their thoughts,” Thomas Jr. pleaded, requesting public support during this challenging time.
His sister, Samantha Markle, 61, also expressed deep worry. “He is a strong man, but he has been through so much. I pray that he is strong enough to get through it,” she stated, acknowledging her father’s recent health struggles.
This latest health scare comes after a history of notable medical issues for Mr.Markle. in 2018, he suffered two heart attacks shortly before his daughter’s wedding to Prince Harry, preventing him from traveling to London for the event. King charles stepped in to accompany Meghan part of the way to the altar at St. George’s Chapel,a gesture Markle later publicly acknowledged.
He suffered a severe stroke in 2022, which initially impacted his speech. While intensive therapy allowed him to regain some ability to speak, he has remained frail. mr. Markle currently has no personal relationship wiht his son-in-law, Prince Harry, or his grandchildren, Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4.
