by Alex Carter - Sports Editor

In a significant ⁣move towards increased transparency, Benfica‘s unusual General Assembly on January 3rd will‌ be live-streamed for members, the club announced ⁤today. This marks a departure from previous assemblies held behind closed ⁣doors.

The assembly, ‍scheduled for 9:00 AM, will address a ‍proposal concerning the Benfica District. Members ⁢will ‌have the opportunity to follow the proceedings live⁤ through the members-only section of the club’s official website and mobile‍ submission. The “deliberative process” will begin following the presentation of the proposal by the board led by Rui Costa, with presentations concluding at 5:30 PM.

Voting will be accessible both ⁤in-person at Pavilion ‍2 of Estádio da Luz ⁢via electronic ⁤voting, and online through the members’ area on the website and app. This is the first General Assembly of Rui ‌Costa’s second term, having taken⁤ office on November 8th.

Further details‍ regarding the Benfica District proposal are available ‍on the ‍club’s website, according to a‍ notice sent to Benfica members.
