Cape Town Baruch Carnival: Family Fun & Community Event

Baruch Entertainers to Host community Carnival for Local​ Children

Cape Town‘s beloved Minstrel troupe,⁢ The Baruch Entertainers, will host a three-day Baruch Community Carnival from December 4th to 6th, 2025, at ⁣the Elsies River Rugby Club. The​ event aims to celebrate local⁣ culture,uplift entrepreneurs,and raise funds for children in need.

Led by Chairman Claude​ Jonas,The Baruch Entertainers are well-known for their dedication to preserving and evolving Cape Town’s vibrant Minstrel traditions. this carnival ⁣represents an extension of their commitment to the community.

“This Carnival is about community,”⁤ says Wendy⁢ Rhode, Executive Director for the Baruch⁢ community​ Carnival. “It’s about creating opportunities⁢ for small​ businesses while celebrating our culture and giving back. We‍ want vendors from all over‍ Cape Town to come showcase their talent ‌and be part of something meaningful.”

Proceeds from the ‌carnival will‍ directly benefit local children, providing essential school uniforms and supplies for families facing financial hardship.

The carnival will feature a diverse range⁤ of vendors, including food and drink sellers, craft‍ makers, clothing⁤ designers, small business ​owners,⁤ and‌ community organisations.⁢ Entertainment will include live performances from local artists such as‌ waseef Piekaan, Allan The Car ⁣Guard, The OGs dance group,‍ and other community talent.

Attendees can also enjoy funfair inflatables, family activities, and a Saturday​ car show featuring local car clubs and‌ enthusiasts. Safe, paid parking will be⁣ available inside‍ the venue.

The carnival will run ⁢from 4pm ​to 11pm on Thursday and⁢ Friday,⁢ and from 9am​ to 11pm⁣ on Saturday. Entry fees are R30 for‍ adults, R20⁣ for children,⁣ and R20 for inflatables and parking.
