PARIS – CFE Énergies is spearheading an aspiring new policy aimed at substantially increasing the employment of people with disabilities within its network of IEG companies. The initiative, detailed in a recently published statement, focuses on solidifying solidarity partnerships, promoting responsible purchasing from adapted companies adn ESAT (establishments and services assisting through work), and implementing rigorous evaluation metrics to ensure continuous betterment.

The policy underscores a critical point: 80% of disabilities are invisible, emphasizing the need for enhanced communication and recognition of all forms of disability to dismantle societal barriers and foster a truly inclusive work environment. CFE Énergies is actively encouraging IEG companies to prioritize solidarity purchases and participate in programs facilitating the placement of workers from protected environments into professional roles.

A core component of the strategy involves actively monitoring the implementation of negotiated measures supporting the employment of people with disabilities. CFE Énergies intends to pursue the negotiation of a new employment-disability agreement at the IEG Branch level, aiming to establish IEG companies as leaders in inclusive culture, innovation, and human-centered values.
