Netflix’s troll 2 Concludes with Potential for Further Expansion Following Post-Credit scene
The Netflix film Troll 2 ends with a sense of rebuilding and peace for its characters, but a post-credit scene hints at a continuation of the Troll saga. Following the climactic battle with the Megatroll, Andreas’s sacrifice enables his loved ones – partner Siggy and their newborn daughter Uhura – to begin anew. Nora Tidemann finds contentment alongside her troll companion, Beautiful, in the Norwegian mountains.
Though, a hidden moment during the credits reveals professor Møller (Jon Ketil Johnsen) successfully salvaged a piece of the Megatroll during its escape from Vemork. In a clandestine phone call, Møller informs a “General” that the specimen “has developed,” showcasing a miniature, agitated troll contained within a glass box. This progress strongly suggests the possibility of future threats and further exploration of the troll universe.
Director Roar Uthaug has expressed his enthusiasm for expanding the franchise,stating,”I really love being in this Troll universe… I see a lot of potential in how we could expand it even further,if we were to continue this saga.” While a third Troll film remains unconfirmed, the post-credit scene and Uthaug’s comments indicate Netflix is open to continuing the story.
