Two Pennsylvania convenience stores sold winning Powerball tickets in recent drawings, awarding prizes of $1 million and $150,000. The announcements come as lottery fever builds with the Powerball jackpot currently at $740 million and the Mega Millions prize estimated at $90 million for Tuesday,December 2nd.
The $1 million winning ticket from the November 26th drawing was purchased at a Wawa on Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia. While the ticket matched all five white balls, it did not match the Powerball. Wawa will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. In Ellwood City Borough, a ticket sold at a Sheetz on 5th Street matched four white balls and the powerball, initially worth $50,000, but was boosted to $150,000 with the addition of the $1 Power Play option. Sheetz will receive a $500 bonus.
The winning numbers from the Monday, December 1st drawing (for the November 26th event) were 07, 08, 15, 19, and 28, with a Powerball of 03 and a Power Play of 03.
