Approximately 25 new on-street parking spaces will be added to address a long-standing concern among residents and visitors.
Funding for the project is sourced from a combination of state and local revenue streams, including a $2.7 million Florida Commerce grant and a $3 million contribution from the Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency. The remaining $4.55 million will come from Road Impact Fees, paid by developers, and Half-Cent Infrastructure Surtax Funds, approved by county voters in 2018.
