FORT DIX, NJ – Sean “Diddy” Combs reportedly funded and helped organize a Thanksgiving feast for approximately 1,000 inmates at FCI Fort Dix on Thursday, November 25, bringing a boost of morale to the federal correctional institution.
Working with a prison group known as the “Bankroll Bosses,” Diddy provided funds primarily used to purchase additional food items from the prison commissary. The group then spent two days preparing and distributing a full Thanksgiving meal to every housing unit within the facility, feeding roughly 200 inmates per building, according to a representative who spoke with TMZ.
Inmates overcame logistical challenges, including a lack of conventional cooking equipment like stoves and microwaves, utilizing resourcefulness and teamwork to prepare the meal. One inmate, identified as a gang leader named B.I., told sources they even improvised tools, using ID cards as makeshift knives.
The effort significantly upgraded the typical prison Thanksgiving offering, which usually consists of a minimal “in-and-out” service featuring turkey roast with trimmings, mashed potatoes, corn, and dessert.
Diddy explained his motivation for the initiative, stating, “Thanksgiving, to me, is about making sure other people eat,” per TMZ. “Everybody misses their family. People get depressed during the holidays. We just wanted to come together as a family and do our own thing.”
