Jimuel Pacquiao ⁣Fights to Majority Draw in Pro Boxing Debut

TEMECULA, CA -⁣ manny Pacquiao’s​ eldest son,‍ Jimuel‌ Pacquiao, began his professional ‍boxing career ⁢with a majority draw against Brendan ‍Lally on Saturday night at the Pechanga Resort ⁣Casino in Temecula, California. The four-round lightweight bout​ saw a split decision ⁣from the judges, with one scoring the fight 39-37‍ in favor of Pacquiao and the other⁣ two scoring it 38-38.

The debut marks ​the start of‌ a boxing journey for the younger Pacquiao, ⁣following ⁤in ​the footsteps of his Hall of‍ Fame father. While acknowledging the challenge of transitioning to the professional ranks, Jimuel ⁣expressed his ⁤determination to improve. “Next time‍ I fight, I’m ⁣going to push the pace ⁢much harder,” he ​said, adding, “I’m⁢ happy I was able to experience ‍this. Fighting as an amateur ​is a different experience than⁣ fighting professionally. ⁤I​ only had ten amateur fights, so this‍ was a​ huge step up.”

Manny Pacquiao was present at the event, watching his son’s first professional⁢ fight ringside. The boxing⁤ legend intends​ to take a more ⁣hands-on role in Jimuel’s training moving forward, aiming to secure⁣ his son’s first professional win ‍in his next match. ‍

“I’m very proud of my ​son,” Pacquiao stated. “I always ‍told Jimuel fighting is not easy and that you need to work hard. My⁤ plan is to have him fight on my undercard so I ‌can train with him throughout the whole​ camp.”
