This win follows a record-breaking EuroMillions jackpot of 250 million euros won in France in August – the largest national win in a drawing game to date. That previous jackpot was shared by a group of five friends from Île-de-France who played together for the first time, as reported by FDJ on its website.
The 250 million euro ceiling for EuroMillions winnings has been reached previously in 2025, with wins in both Austria and Ireland. before this, the highest euromillions win on French territory was 220 million euros, awarded in Tahiti, French Polynesia, in 2021.
