Puerto Rican actress and television personality Maripily Rivera narrowly avoided injury during a recent live broadcast when she nearly lost her balance while seated on a glass chair, just one month after undergoing breast reduction surgery. The incident occurred while Rivera was interacting with her audience, prompting concern from viewers and a candid reaction from the star herself.
Rivera, known affectionately as “Hurricane Boricua,” shared the near-fall on social media, expressing gratitude for her balance and acknowledging the precariousness of the situation given her recent surgical procedure performed in October. The actress postponed the surgery for years due to professional commitments, but ultimately underwent the procedure hoping to revitalize her career plans for 2026, including a final bikini competition in January and the launch of a fitness app and product line.
“Thank goodness I have good balance. My God. The chair is completely made of glass and I am a month after having surgery,” Rivera stated, recounting the moment. She told Primera Hora that she is focused on recovery and preparing for future projects, emphasizing her ambition to continue working despite the challenges. “I want to recover, then I want to prepare for my last competition in the bikini category… I hope to launch my ‘fitness’ application, launch my ‘fitness’ products…All this is like a plan,Maripily always has a plan,but it is indeed at the moment that God says,as I don’t stop.”
